WHAT ARE LASH EXTENSIONS?
Eyelash extensions are a revolutionary advanced product that lengthens & thickens your natural lashes. Individual eyelash extensions are single strands of synthetic lashes that are shaped to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied individually to your natural lash with a bonding agent to create an instant elegance & lashed up look.
CAN ANYONE WEAR LASH EXTENSIONS?
Yes, lash extensions are perfect for everyone regardless of age as long as there are natural lashes to be able to apply the lash extension to. The lashes come in different lengths & thicknesses so will suit all individual needs. Whether you are looking for a natural look, or the full on flirtatious, fluttering lash experience.
HOW LONG WILL THE LASH EXTENSIONS LAST FOR?
Lash extensions will last the full natural cycle of the lashes they are attached to provided the correct aftercare is followed. All natural lashes are at different stages of their cycle when the lash extensions are attached; therefore they will fall at different times & will be replaced by the growth of a new lash.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE THE LASH EXTENSIONS APPLIED?
It is recommended that you have regular maintenance appointments every 2-3 weeks for those that wish to wear the lash extensions long term. Lashes however can be worn as a one off for a special occasion & can be left to fall with the natural lashes or professionally removed by myself.
HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION TAKE?
The application for a full set of lashes is approximately 2 hours.
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
This procedure is completely pain free & relaxing with most falling asleep. You will be lying flat with your eyes closed for the full time in which the lashes are being applied.
CAN I WEAR CONTACT LENSES?
Whilst the lashes are being applied contact lenses will have to be removed, but can be worn again as soon as the lashes have been applied.
CAN I USE EYELASH CURLERS?
No, both mechanical & heated curlers can damage the bond causing the lashes to fall prematurely. The lashes applied will instantly give the appearance of curlier lashes so there is no need for eyelash curlers.
CAN I WEAR MASCARA?
You should not need to wear mascara. However if you want to then it is recommended that you use the mascara which is specially formulated to use with the Lash Perfect Lashes (This can be purchased from Flawless Beauty). Other mascaras on the market may contain ingredients that can affect the bond of the lashes causing them to fall prematurely. If your own natural lashes are very pale then you may like to have your lashes tinted 24 hours prior to the lash extensions being applied for optimum effect.
DO LASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE YOUR NATURAL LASHES?
No, as long as the correct aftercare is followed. The lashes are bonded directly to the natural lash so it does not touch the skin. This means it will not interfere with the natural lash cycle allowing the natural lashes to grow & fall normally.
AFTERCARE - FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES FOR BEST RESULTS
- All make up worn should be removed with an oil free make up remover, this can be supplied by your therapist at an additional cost. Do not use cotton wool to remove any make up from the lashes. Ensure that all skincare products used are oil free.
- Avoid getting your lashes wet within the first 24 hours. Feel free to rinse eyes with warm water and pat them dry gently after this time.
- Avoid steam and saunas for 48 hours after application.
- It is recommended that you return every 10-14 days to check your lashes and have any replaced that may have fallen out.
- There will be between 50-100 lashes applied to each eye. It is normal to experience the loss of a few lashes during the first 24 hours while the adhesive is setting. Care should be taken during this period.
- If you experience any irritation or itching, contact your Lash Perfect Therapist immediately.
- Do not pick, pull or rub your eyes. If you need the lashes removed contact your Lash Perfect Therapist to do so to ensure no damage is done to your own natural lashes.
- Lashes should not be permed or tinted whilst the lashes are on if tinting is required this should be done at least 24 hours prior to the lash application.
- Gently groom your lashes daily with an eyelash brush supplied by your Lash Perfect Therapist.
- Lash maintenance may vary according to your lifestyle or to the length of time that your lashes have been on.
